It all began with a fellowship that enabled me to travel to Ireland to work with an Irish poet and writer which resulted in a collaborative collection of poetry, The Other Side of Longing, now available in the United States through Syracuse University Press. My blog continues to explore the challenge and joy of being a writer in the world, effective teaching and the power of observation.
